My school friend Rachel Alexander and I are taking the plunge to raise awareness and well deserved  funds for CLDF as it is a charity very close to our hearts. Rachel's son Luke was born with a rare liver disease called Biliary Atresia and in 2012 underwent a life saving Liver transplant.

From day one of receiving the news, CLDF has been a strong support for the Alexander family by being there offering emotional support, providing valuable information and running CLDF events which has helped them to connect with other families resulting in lifetime friendships.

Luke is now Eighteen and has completed his first year in university. He has grown to become a mature and confident young man thanks to the friendships and support he has received through this wonderful charity.The CLDF Big Drop has provided Rachel and I a great opportunity to celebrate this significant milestone.

Children's Liver Disease Foundation is a small charity fighting childhood liver diseases by providing information, emotional support, research funds and a voice for all affected. Having witnessed the amazing support this charity has offered Luke and his family, I am doing the Big Drop to raise awareness, understanding and knowledge about CLDF so it continues to help and assist other families.
