Story
Augustus has had the worst start to his young life. This tiny kitten was hit by a car, but thankfully got taken straight to a vet practice. Emergency x-rays showed that Augustus had a fractured jaw, the end of his tail was badly damaged and his right front leg was dangling and not functioning.
Immediate life-saving surgery was performed to wire his jaw and the tip of his tail was amputated. A plan was then considered for the future of his damaged leg.
Since being in our care, Augustus' leg function has not improved at all and it was clear that sadly amputation of his leg was going to be necessary.
Augustus has had his leg surgery this week which went very well. He is so full of life, Augustus likes to chat to you and tell you his thoughts on how we should be giving him more jelly meat and less medicine and how he likes a little bit of head scratch and play, but tight cuddling is still a bit too ouchy.
Augustus sadly has further surgery in his future, the wire will need removing from his jaw & he will be neutering at the same time. But despite going through so much, this brave little cat has fought through!
Please can you help us support Augustus and donate towards the cost of his surgeries and care? We are hoping to raise a target of £1500 to help cover some of costs of looking after little Augustus, so any help you can give would be so appreciated.
Any funds raised above and beyond our target will be used to help other cats and kittens in care at our Downham Market Adoption Centre.
