I did it! 4:11.04. It's a pb by 22mins, sub 4 next time! It was a lovely race, especially through the park and along the river. After a chilly start, the conditions were perfect-sunny and cool. We started and ended in the Olympic Stadium too! Very happy! Thank you for all your support! Catriona
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. On Sunday 16th October 2011 I will run the Amsterdam Marathon for Great Ormond Street hospital. My amazing five-year-old niece has been under the care of the renal team at GOSH since her birth. She spent her first three months at the hospital and underwent a kidney transplant (from her father) there, when she was 18 months old. She is now enjoying Year 1 at school, whilst continuing to have regular check-ups at the hospital.
She has been the inspiration for all my marathon efforts! Previously I ran London and Dublin (for Kids Kidney Research), and Berlin (for WellChild).
Great Ormond Street Hospital has been hugely important for my niece and so this time I want to raise funds to help them continue the wonderful work they do for all children.
I hope you will help me, in any way, however small! Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
Thank you so much!
