Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
From 19th -22nd June along with 50 other cyclists I will be taking part in the Lockdown 200 challenge in aid of Become. Due to Covid-19 our annual fundraising ride this year has transformed into a very different event. Instead of the planned ride from Crewe to Aberystwyth along the Welsh coast, individuals are taking on the cycling challenge in their own way dispersed across the country. I will be setting off from Shepherd's Bush each day and doing circular rides into Surrey, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
The charity supports vulnerable children in the care system to help them fulfill their potential. In the UK there are nearly 100,000 children in care - as a result of family circumstances and through no fault of their own. Without a family support structure, many care-experienced young people are particularly affected during this time of isolation. Calls to Become's Care Advice Line have doubled since the lockdown started.
