Story
Thank you for visiting my fund raising page.
I and eight other of my esteemed BlackRock colleagues have signed up to run as Team BlackRock in this year's Safaricom half marathon on 27th June 2009 with the aim of raising as much money as possible for the Tusk Trust.
The marathon is run in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya. It is said to be one of the toughest marathons out there (thank goodness I'm only doing half), running on dirt roads, much of it uphill and at an altitude of 5,500 feet! It is set in 65,000 acres of wildlife reserve with over 100 rhino, herds of elephants, zebra, buffalo and I'm sure a few big cats... I'm not scared - it's not like I have to outrun a cheetah, I just have to make sure there's at least one person slower than me!
So please give generously. Tusk is a great charity doing lots of good work (plus it would be good if I managed to raise more than the others!).
