Story
I will be sleeping out on my own in my tent for 7 days, that’s a whole week from 28 November until 4 December when it will be dark, cold, wet and windy. Why? To raise funds for homeless people, and I’m aiming for at least £100 per night.
With Christmas approaching, most of us are hoping to see our family, loved ones and friends. Imagine being on the street during a pandemic - feeling bleak, cold, hungry and vulnerable. Please give, even if it's only the cost of a cup of coffee, but more if you can afford it. £3 will pay for a meal, and £30 will give someone a Christmas with a warm bed, food, friendship and care.
The money will go to Julian House in Bristol who provide life changing support to over 1,400 vulnerable individuals per year across the South West, including those suffering from homelessness, women and children escaping domestic abuse and adults with learning difficulties. Alongside the emergency hostel, they also provide supported accommodation and training and education opportunities to help people gain confidence, re-build their lives and fulfill their potential.
If you, like me, feel fortunate to have a roof over your head, regular meals, and people you love, please do consider giving generously.
Thank you very much.
