Story
I want to support the National Maternity Hospital Foundation and I am taking part in the 'Walk to Remember' - 100,000 Steps this October.
September 22nd 2021 our son Adam was born with HLHS and Apert syndrome and passed away 2 days later on the 24th. During my pregnancy and the 2 days we got with Adam we received the most amazing care from all the staff in Holles Street.
This year, on the 21st Aug our daughter Anna was stillborn at 39 weeks. We were away for the night in Dublin when I noticed reduced movement. We went into Holles Street for a scan to reassure ourselves but unfortunately the unimaginable happened and we found out our healthy little girl had died.
On both occasions, the doctors, nurses and the bereavement team were a huge support to myself and Matthew. The money raised from this fundraiser will go towards helping more families who find themselves in similar circumstances to us. We will be forever grateful to the staff for helping us to create wonderful memories as these are all we have to hold onto now.
