The story below is now out of date, but I am keeping this page open,  because it is even more important now , to raise as much as possible for the Guys Cancer Centre..

(Next..I am going now to try to finish the London 2022 Marathon raising money for the Prostate team at Guys Cancer Centre..I will carry Roger with me every step if the way !! Watch this space)

Roger passed away on 14th Sept 2021❤❤❤❤. When Roger had been referred to our local Hopice , my friend Simon Cheyne,  ran for me and all of us ,in honour of him and this cause so close to us.It was wonderful, thankyou Simon!

Our journey started like this...

2019. Roger my partner has been living with Advanced Prostate cancer , he has been kept, happily, living a good quality of life for the last 6 years by the wonderful care of all the medical staff of Guys Cancer centre , specifically the Prostate Cancer team. Hopefully that will continue for the next 60 years!!🥰

I want to do all I can, to raise extra funds for this precious Hospital.Particularly now , when staff have been hit extra hard with also having to deal with the impossible worldwide pandemic of Covid 19, let alone care for patients suffering from their own personal trauma of Cancer.

As a patient, Roger says , " absolutly nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff , Consultants , Doctors , Nurses, Technicians . All are truly dedicated to treating each and every patient with the same inspiring skills they offer to help. It feels so comforting and reassuring to be in their care.

I am going to take part in the London Royal Parks half marathon. l will try to run the course ( it may take me a long time ! 🤗 ) But if you can spare any amount, no amount is too small , it will encourage me to finish , and help encourage all those Staff at Guys Cancer Centre to carry on,  and to provide more choice in treatment within the NHS !!! THANKYOU. ❤
