Story
On Sunday 26 April 2015 I will be running the London marathon in aid of Arthur’s Appeal.
On Friday 20 June 2014, little Arthur Hughes was born sleeping at Wythenshawe Hospital weighing 8lb 4oz. Tragically his heart had stopped beating the previous night. At this time of almost unthinkable grief his parents, friends Ella and Llyr Hughes, received great support from the Snowdrop Charity and from the specialist team at Wythenshawe Hospital. Realising that little of these services was NHS funded and being the incredible people they are, they set up Arthur’s Appeal in order to help other bereaved families at this most difficult time.
Arthur’s Appeal has already raised over £4,000 to support the Snowdrop Appeal/Wythenshawe Memorial Fund. In running the London Marathon, and the Manchester 10K on 10 May 2015 I am hoping to raise money in order to help Ella and Llyr reach their target of £5,000. If you can, please give generously to this very worthy cause.
Donations can be made here or at the Arthur’s Appeal website https://www.justgiving.com/arthurhughes. You can also text ARTH48 to 70070 if this is easier.
Many, many thanks.
Cathy
