Story

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.

In view of this I have decided to join the 2.6 challenge to raise funds for our wonderful Dreamflight.

I have completed an almost triathlon, I have cycled 20km, run 5km and almost swum half a mile which I think adds up to 2.6 parts of the normal 3 disciplines. The swim involved a wet suit, a hose and a lot of core strength but no actual swimming in water!

Dreamflight is an amazing charity which takes children whose lives are limited by illness or disability and gives them a life changing trip, supported by a fabulous team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and other volunteers. The young people we take gain in independence and confidence and have a chance to have fun and look beyond their medical condition. Dreamflight has been changing the lives of our Very Important Children for 33 years, If you are able to give a little something in these difficult times, you will be helping to safeguard the future.
