Thanks everyone. A great result for Solent Mind!!
I'm really enjoying February.!! I did Run.Every.Day in January and completed 101 km (62 miles). I will need to focus more on pace over the next few weeks as that definitely dropped a little in the second half of the month. Thanks to all of you who have shown your support, I have a few more collecting boxes to come in so I will continue to update this page.
3 weeks done now. 66 km covered, (41 miles). I did run in the gym today, just couldn't face the rain, I did use the "hilly" programme,
Yesterday marked the half way point.... "phew!" 52.2 km(32 miles) per the trusty GPS watch so should make 100 km over the month,
That's the second week done. I completed 20 km this week, (12 miles). The Park Run yesterday was great, they had a live "funk brass "band to celebrate someones 250th run, it was my 46th. Thanks to all those who have sponsored me up to now, I and Solent Mind are very grateful.
So the first week is done, just 24 more days to go. Have completed 23 km (just over 14 miles) in the week. As you will see the t-shirt has arrived and has got space to tick the days off .
This seems a silly idea, to aim to run every day during the short, cold days of January, but equally it is a realistic challenge. Some days I will run in the gym and other days it may only be a mile round the block but I promise to do my best. I don't think its a habit I will continue into February!!
I realise its not long since lots of you sponsored my 10k run raising £1232 for MS for which I am very grateful. This time I have set a much lower target and am hoping for small donations, a target of £250 is still enough to make me put my trainers on!!
