I've created this page because I want to make a difference in the fight against melanoma. I'm inspired by the work the MRF does to fund research, provide support systems to melanoma patients and their families and advocate for early detection and prevention of melanoma. My mom had a long and tough battle with melanoma. She is the strongest woman I know. Which brings me to raising money for the MRF. I remember back to my first XC race in 4th grade with her cheering on the sidelines. She was my shoulder to cry on when I was upset I didn’t receive a medal. I think back to this memory often when life and running gets hard and it empowers me to push through. I want to support the MRF by raising money as part of my participation in the Charleston Marathon 2022. Help me transform one of the most deadliest cancers into one of the most treatable.
