Story

I am one of the lucky ones - I survived an abusive relationship and now I'm running the London Marathon for Refuge in order to help other people who are in the situation I was in.

Running doesn't come naturally for me, it's something I took up again at the age of 41. I train hard, I work hard, and raising money for Refuge is my motivation to get out there even when things aren't as easy.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my journey so far, I look forward to doing you proud in April x

Almost 1 in 4 women will experience some form of domestic abuse in her lifetime. Refuge empowers women and their children to rebuild their lives, free from abuse and fear. Just £15 could go towards essentials for a woman's first night at a refuge Thank you for any support!
