To celebrate the 10^th anniversary of the founding of the Rotherham Hospice’s Sunbeams children’s bereavement support service, I am lacing up my running shoes for an event for the first time in 30 years.

I’ll be running – or trying to – the Lincoln 10k in October I and am looking to try and raise some money for a group that I hope has provided a safe space for so many young people, who have been unfortunate enough to lose a significant loved one at a young age.

I’m part full of dread and the other excited for going back to my hometown for a running event which is the first time I will have done one since I ran Bridlington all the way back in 1990!

Support for the group since we set it up has always been greatly appreciated and never taken for granted and anything you can give will mean an awful lot to me and everyone at the hospice.
