We fight for the hope of young people to create a society built for all children

Story

Over the course of 2022, I plan to run 52 parkruns in 52 weeks at 52 different parkrun locations.

parkruns are free, weekly, timed 5K runs, which take place in hundreds of different park locations across the UK and the world.

My main aims are to:

1.) Raise as much money for The Children's Society as possible so please have a read of the information about the charity provided below.

2.) Encourage as many people as possible to take part in a parkrun. Participating in weekly parkruns for the last few years has brought me so much joy and a sense of community connectedness. It helps me manage stress and genuinely puts me in such a positive mood for the rest of my weekend. Others report that it improves their emotional wellbeing, self-confidence, happiness and reduces tension and anxiety. The benefits are boundless!

The Children's Society are a national charity, working with young people to counsel and support them through their most serious life challenges. They campaign tirelessly for the big social changes that will improve the lives of those who need hope most. They've been doing this for 140 years and they won't stop until we have built a society where hope is alive in every child.

Please consider making a donation to a wonderful cause and perhaps even joining me on a parkrun at some point in 2022; course recommendations are welcome!

Every young person deserves hope and happiness.

See you at the starting line!
