Story

Hi, and thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

In November 2007 I will be joining Professor Robert Winston and about a hundred women to cycle 390km over five days in Rajasthan, India, to raise money for Women for Women.

As someone who "doesn't do camping" and loves five star luxury, this is going to be the toughest challenge I have ever faced - cycling for up to 10 hours a day and sleeping in a tent!

However the goal of raising money for such a worthwhile cause, getting fit and being able to experience a fascinating part of India, led me to sign up for the challenge!  I also want to do this in memory of my wonderful mum, Joyce, whose shock death from meningitis two years ago, is still so hard to come to terms with.  With her nursing and midwifery background and love of babies and children, it is certainly a cause she would have approved of.

Please therefore dig deep and sponsor me - by doing so you are helping women and babies worldwide.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Women for Women will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
