This year, I'm helping to build a new village hall in my village, and I've challenged everyone in the community to raise £500 each to contribute towards the cost. It's going to cost about £400,000, and we need to raise £200,000. There are 400 people living here, so if we all raise £500....  I know that if mum were still here, she'd take up the challenge too, so this is her chance to raise £500 for my village hall. I think if she were going to raise £500, she would throw a fabulous party with some delicious food and an evening in the garden, with a band. So pour yourself some wine, wander round your garden with it and raise a glass in memory to such a special lady, who is still with us in lots of ways. If we reach my target of £500 for mum, I'll be able to add her name to the roll of honour of fundraisers.
