Story
Sarah and I have been thinking about how we can fundraise to help to restoreThe MacDonald Ward Courtyard at Conquest Hospital which is very overgrown and unloved. The aim is to restore it to its original purpose which was to provide a tranquil and beautiful space for patients and visitors to enjoy.Being able to sit outside in the fresh air will be of great benefit to patients physical and mental wellbeing as well as providing a lovely setting for family and friends who visit. Many patients on MacDonald Ward are frail and elderly, and some are cognitively impaired so the courtyard will be sympathetically designed to met their needs. They will love it.
Our challenge is to walk/run/jog or row the distance of Land’s End to John O’Groats, but in Hastings and St Leonards! We’ll be doing some of the miles together - and some on our own. At the end of every week we’ll tot up the miles we’ve done and we’ll update our fundraiser so you can see some of the routes we taken, pics we’ve snapped and follow our progress!
We hope you enjoy seeing our journey, wish us luck!
