Story

Lots of people have been in touch asking what they can do to help and where we’d like contributions in Joshua’s memory to go. If you would like to make a donation in Joshua’s memory, we’d like them to go to Swindon Sands (Stillbirth & Neonatal death). The care that parents receive around the time of a loss has a huge impact on their perception of what happened and on their ability to cope. Good care can’t remove the pain and devastation that the loss of your baby can bring but insensitivity and lack of good care can and do make things worse. Health care staff can do a great deal to ensure that the memories that parents take away with them are as positive as possible and Sands work with the NHS to make sure that happens.

Joshua may have only been in our arms for a short time but he will be in our hearts forever, anything you can do to help will hopefully mean other families can come away from their tragic experience with the same support we have.

There’s no denying that for the foreseeable life is going to be unbearable and that each day without him will be the biggest of struggles, but we vowed we would make every moment count and make sure the memory of Joshua was as positive as possible.
