Story
In February 2018 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. I had never heard of this cancer, but all that was due to change. Myeloma UK have provided valuable information to support the work of the Specialist team of Doctors and Nurses at both Worcester Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth and Royal Orthopaedic in Birmingham who have helped to keep me going. I am eternally grateful to the NHS.
Myeloma is at present treatable but not curable and the prognosis can vary from months to years. Research as we have seen with COVID is vital to developments in cancer detection, treatment and ultimately survival rates.
Please help me support Myeloma UK by raising funds. In the hope that research will keep me and those affected by blood cancer going a little bit longer.
Finally a big thank you to my husband Neil, daughter Eve for pulling me through on bad days and my friends who make me smile.
My friend Kim is hosting this coffee morning event and she really is a wonderful chum and supporter in helping raise funds for Blood cancer charities.
AIl money raised goes toward providing essential information and support to myeloma patients and their families, as well as world-leading research programme which aims to find more effective treatments and a cure
