Story
Mum suffered a basilar artery stroke on Christmas morning. She was in a coma for 13 days before she sadly died. She was 45. With no family history or warning of such an event, her passing has been a huge shock to family and friends.
Four years ago Mum suffered a single episode of some sensory and motor loss and was in hospital for about a week. She recovered completely and left hospital with a query diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Perhaps in hindsight this may have been early warning signs.
If there was any hope of recovery we would have supported Mum through any length of stroke rehabilitation. With friends and family I am going to run the Resolution 5K in Heaton Park, in March, for The Stroke Association. By donating to The Stroke Association you are helping improve the quality of life of stroke survivors and support vital research including stroke prevention.
There are not the words to describe such a wonderful person. Everyone will have their own fond memories from different times in her life. Emily and I share endless memories of an amazing mum and best friend.
