Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page: On 11th September 2021 my darling Max, my soulmate and pride and joy and the brightest light in many of our lives tragically died of an undetected brain tumour at only 31 years old.

It is impossible to understand the grief of losing a child until it happens to you and it has so cruelly happened to my family twice as my mother lost my dear brother when he too was a bright shining light and only 31. Both my brother Adrian and my darling Max were great showmen so I take comfort that they will be together entertaining all in heaven or wherever they are with their larger than life personalities, charm and zest for life. There were two butterflies dancing outside my kitchen window on the 10th and I was mesmerised watching them as I believe it was my brother Adrian coming to fetch his nephew and accompany him to his new stage. They had many similarities so will be getting on famously!

As my son Adrian said to his brother in his goodbye Max lived up to his name as always living life to the max.

Our world is a very dark place now but we have decided to set up The Maxwell Thompson Fellowship at Imperial College in his memory and we must ensure that Buck and Bull lives on as a tribute to the wonderful young man who created it and who made me so proud.

All our hearts have been broken but at the same time we are very blessed to have known and loved such an amazing young man and we should take a leaf out of Max’s book and live life to the full as you never know when it will be snatched away.. #BeMoreMax 💔.
