Story
Why raise money for the Children’s Society? I am the mother of three children and always upset by reports of children who are abused or living in poverty. I witness the impact these can have on children in my roles as a Practice Nurse and school governor.
Why run the London Marathon? I run on the Malvern Hills in my spare time but have never completed a marathon before. This will be a huge challenge for me, trying to fit training in around work and family life. As a trail runner I have always shied away from the London Marathon as “pavement pounding” has always filled me with dread (I hear there aren’t any hills or trails on the London Marathon route). However, it is time to face my fears for a good cause.
