Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This charity means so much to me so thank you for clicking my link!
I am doing the Great North Run on Sunday 13th September and I am running it (hopefully not walking too much!) in memory of my Grandmother, Margaret. Who died 2nd December 2013.
She suffered from Dementia and it was heart breaking for both her and our family. We saw a beautiful, amazing, strong willed woman change before our eyes. She began getting confused, forgetting things and changes in her character.
A lot of you will have grandparents or will know of someone who suffers from this horrific disease and know how much of a struggle it is for both the person affected and their close family and friends. Support is key when tacking this disease and I need to give something back to such an amazing charity so this is where you guys come in….
Any amount you can spare would be amazing, £1, £2, £3, even giving up your daily coffee to donate something would benefit people all over the country, maybe even someone you love and care about. I will be so grateful for anything you can donate.
Before I bore you all with facts, please take a couple more minutes to read a little paragraph where your money will go when you donate (thank you in advance!)
Alzheimer's Society is committed to defeating dementia through research. They fund research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease, to improve treatment for people today, and search for a cure for tomorrow.
If you would like to find out anything else please have a look on the Alzheimer’s Society website below….but not before donating a little something! J
Thank you again! You’re helping so many people cope with Dementia and hopefully find a cure. Do it for my Grandmother, as well as your own.
