We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

There are currently 900.000 people in the UK who have dementia. This is set to rise to 1.6m by 2040 and yet still there is no cure or even drugs that can make a huge amount of difference.

Our family is very aware of the impact of Alzheimer’s as my grandma Alexandra Wilkinson had the disease and now my mum Frances Seal has it too.

Alzheimers UK has launched a challenge to do a 3-6 minute plank every day of January. Often fundraisers are running or walking for miles which I can’t do as I have nerve damage in my feet - but this is one that both Andy and I are up for to help raise funds for dementia research, care and support which is desperately underfunded.

We appreciate there are many worthy charities so if you could join us in our daily plank or support our pledge that would be fantastic.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
