Fundraising for Stroke Association
We are running the Great North Run in memory of our Dad, Bernie Rodgers. He was altruistic and would help anyone, especially his family. He loved all kinds of sports, was an avid Sunderland supporter, watched every/any type of event on TV he could and was a brilliant long-distance runner when he was younger. Therefore, it makes sense to run the GNR in his memory. He is very loved, and we miss him every day.
Unfortunately, we lost him to a stroke, so we have chosen to donate to Stroke Association. They help those affected by stroke; help people who have survived, carers and bereaved families like ours. It will be an emotional day, but we hope to do something good in his memory.
