Story

Hi everyone!

Thanks very much for visiting my JustGiving page.

In May it will be10 years since Olivia died, aged just 15. She had long QT syndrome, which is one of the conditions screened for by the charity CRY.  Olivia was very special to many people, and we wanted to do something in her memory to raise money for CRY, and this seemed perfect as we will (hopefully!) cross the finish line on her anniversary, the 25th.

The walk is taking place on the 24 - 25th May 2014, and we want to raise as much money as possible for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), a charity devoted to reducing the number of sudden deaths in people aged 14 - 35.

Every week in the UK at least 12 young people (aged 35 or under) die from undiagnosed heart conditions through Sudden Death Syndrome. Your donation will go a long way to help support bereaved families and to develop further screening programmes through the charity CRY.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you!
