Story
Since my brother was diagnosed with MND I wanted to organise an event to raise funds to support the provision of services in East Kent. They provide advocacy and advice to those with the disease and their carers, e.g. providing equipment and support, raising funds to aid research and campaign to raise awareness. A few years ago, I thought, 'why go up to London and do the Moon Walk in the middle of the night when we have a wonderful coastline to walk along in the daylight.' So, together with a group of friends, my brother and family members we formed a small committee and organised our first walks of 25, 13 or 5 miles. A group of 82 walkers, local and from afar raised £9,700. We had a wonderful day.
2022 will be our fourth walk and a very special one for me as unfortunately I lost my lovely brother in April 2021 to this hideous disease so this walk is in his memory.
Please consider helping me again this year. Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it. xx
