I’m Catherine, this is my first time running the Brathay 10 in 10. I ran my first marathon in 2019 and have completed the Keswick to Barrow twice. I love running. I love the Lake District and I’m very excited to be part of this years 10 in 10!
I’ve never been involved with a running group before or taken part in many professional events so I’m very much a newbie to it all, this challenge will definitely be one of the toughest challenges I’ve ever attempted..
I think, that if I can show somebody, even if it’s just one person, with my attempt at running the 10 in 10, that ANYBODY can achieve what they put their mind and body to, no matter who they are or where they come from, then I’ll have achieved much more than I could ever imagine. It is so important for people to believe in themselves, and it’s also so so important that people have the access to reaching their dreams in life.
I’m truly honoured to be running and raising money for all the progressive work Brathay Trust does supporting young vulnerable children and families.
I’m going to run my socks off for all the future women runners, for anyone finding themselves struggling, for young carers and their rest bite, the list goes on, and raise as much money as I possibly can for an incredible cause!
