Gary and I are embarking on a 1000k cycle-ride through Tuscany in order to raise money for the local branch of Shelter.  Although we are the fourth richest country in the world, millions of people in Britain wake up every day in housing that is run-down, overcrowded, or dangerous.  Shelter believe everyone should have a home and every year they help more  than 170,000 people with a range of housing problems find and keep a home, giving them security and hope.  Shelter run a number of projects including assisting local authorities to develop strategies that help homeless people move away from rough sleeping as well as offering a free helpline, open 365 days a year.

It will always get to us to see the conditions that some people have to live in, when we can go back to our warm safe homes.  This event has been great fun to organise, has involved a lot of tough training and we are so pleased to be helping such an important cause.   Please dig deep and support the wonderful work that Shelter carry out...
