Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I used to be an active member of the Tiverton, Devon branch of the CHSW support group. For various family and health reasons I came off the committee around 2000. In the past I have taken school children to open day visits at Littlebridge House, Fremington (North Devon) and know first hand what amazing work is being done there to support children with life limiting illnesses and their families. It is a beautiful place indeed and one of a number of children's hospices in the South West. Twenty ish years later, I still support this amazing charity and right now with all the social restrictions it is, I know even more difficult for fund raising to take place in order to continue this vital work. I decided to challenge myself to walk a minimum of 4 miles every day for 25 consecutive days through March. This will, on average, double my regular daily walks with my dog Molly and husband Paul. It will be a challenge to do this for me as I was diagnosed about 10 years ago with a chronic pain condition (fibromyalgia). This makes it alright to walk on some days and very difficult and exhausting on others. I like to think I am recovering from this and by setting myself this, somewhat modest for lots of my long distance walking friends, challenge it will not only raise money for a charity which is dear to my heart but it will also encourage me to keep positive and hopeful that I can recover again.
Thank you so very much for supporting me and The Children's Hospice South West in any way you can.
