As you may well be aware, we lost our dear friend Jenny back in January and through Orla Kiely Second Time Around we have been raising money, in her memory, so that we can donate to a Charity that we felt would be close to her heart.

The Charity that we decided upon is called Help Musicians. 

"Help Musicians is an independent UK charity for professional musicians of all genres, from starting out through to retirement.

We help at times of crisis, but also at times of opportunity, giving people the extra support they need at a crucial stage that could make or break their career." 

We were very lucky that Alison, (one of the admin team) had the talent to design us a logo that summed up Jenny perfectly and we were able to have this printed onto tote bags which we were able to offer to our members to buy.

I have set up this page so that Help Musicians can receive the money raised through our group and to also give anyone else the chance to make a donation should they so wish.

Not only did Jenny have a passion for music, but she had a deep love of Orla Kiely designs and she was an avid collector too. There wasn't anything that Jenny didn't know about Orla Kiely and her knowledge will be sorely missed.

Jenny was a kind, happy, empathetic person with an enthusiasm for life; she was also a very big part of our Facebook page and we all miss her dreadfully.

On behalf of OKSTA I would like to thank everyone who has bought a tote bag and help to raise almost £600 in Jenny's memory.
