Cobham Challenge 2015 · 26 June 2015

We support our staff in their fundraising to improve lives and help local communities

Over 90 colleagues from the Cobham and Dartford offices of Willmott Dixon Construction will be taking part in the Cobham Challenge 2015 – Snowdon Spectacular. It will take place between 26th-28th June 2015. We would welcome your support.

This year we are again proud to be supporting Chestnut Treehouse Hospice (CTH) with the goal to raise £60,000, surpassing last year’s excellent work and again enough to pay for the charity for a week and beyond.

Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in East and West Sussex and cares for over 280 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire. There are potentially 1,000 families with life-limited children in Sussex. Chestnut Tree House offers support for the whole family including psychological and bereavement support, end of life and short break care and sibling support.

The hospice costs nearly £3 million per year to run. Families are never charged for their care and less than 8p in every pound is funded by the government, so we rely heavily on the generosity, help and support of the people of Sussex.

The challenge will be a two day event involving 3 physically demanding activities to choose from on each day in and around the Snowdonia National Park. The three activities will be road cycling, mountain biking, or hiking. Day 1 will be starting and finishing in Llanwrst, day 2 in Llanberis and will feature the following:

Road Cycle – Day 1: A 40 mile loop from Llanwrst taking in the Gwydyr Forest Park also known as the landscape of lakes.

Day 2: A 102 mile cycle through and around the Snowdonia National Park.

Through Just Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the charity. Just Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
