Climate Action Now project is planting trees with a goal to 1,000,000 trees to offset carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of more than 560 UK residents for 20 years. Challenge Earth risks becoming largely uninhabitable because of irreversible effects of climate change. Key issues in combating climate change are: 1) Lack of awareness 2) Consumption patterns that add to worsening state of ecosystem. 3) Inadequate opportunities to make impact towards climate change Solution 1) Educate people on gravity of the situation 2) Take action: CAN Platform for individuals to have immediate influence on reforestation & tree plantation Long-Term Impact This project will plant 1,000,000 trees across continents, delivering immediate results by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, protecting biodiversity and providing employment to poor village families.
