Story
Super thanks for visiting my Just Giving Page.
We are raising money for Parkinson's UK in memory of my fantastic Dad, John Oliphant, who sadly passed away on Christmas Day 2019.
He was a wonderful chap - always full of fun and laughter. A fab raconteur with Irish charm by the bucketful and a cheeky glint in his eye!
Then, in January 2012, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Over the next few years, it literally ravaged his body and in the latter stages, his mind. It also took a massive toll on my Mum who was his fulltime carer until the end.
Now, enough of being sad, it is time to do something positive and raise a bit of dosh to support folk living with this cruel, severely debilitating disease which currently has no cure.
So, I - alongside my fabulous lifelong pals - Suzanne, Catherine and Vicky are going to don our trusty walking boots and head for the hills of the Peak District on July 3rd to do a 25km hike...then enjoy a glass of fizz in my Dad's honour. He would've approved of this if you knew him!!
If you can give ANYTHING at all, it would be utterly fantastic. Thanks so very much! xxx
