Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been a member of the BBKA for the last 5 years, and trained as an Apiarist when I lived in London. Bees are one of the greatest pollinators on our planet and it is so important to ensure their survival as a species, not only for ourselves or our food source but for all the other creatures on this planet who rely on pollination of plants, flowers and trees by the beautiful humble bee. Bee population has been on the decline for a number of years due to many factors including disease, pesticides, mass farm production and colony collapse disorder to name a few.  The BBKA are invaluable to research, support for bee keepers as well as playing an important part in the Agricultural Industry in Great Britain. The plight of the bee is something I am very passionate about, as thier survival is so important to the survival of the planet! Any support would be greatly appreciated.

About the charity

BBKA works to support bees and beekeepers. The honey bee is under continuing threats from Varroa Mite, disease and lack of forage. We invest in honey bee health research, provide educational resources on honey bees & their environmental importance and support beekeepers in the beekeeping craft.
