Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page set up by my brother Andrew and me in memory of our late father, Dr Richard (Dick) Barrett.
Our father loved his career as a GP and often remembered that he achieved this from humble beginnings due to the support he was given by his teachers and lecturers who wanted to help him achieve his dream. He was acutely aware during his own childhood and later years that a loving family, shelter, food and education were not universally available to children across London, the UK or the world. His strong moral compass, compassion for mankind and keen interest in the lives and well being of young people makes this charity a perfect choice to honour his memory. Please take time to look at the Alone in London website to see the range of support they give to vulnerable young people across London, particularly those at risk of homelessness.
