Great North Swim 2014 · 13 June 2014 to 15 June 2014 ·

We’re the 10 million people living with arthritis in the UK. The carers, researchers and healthcare professionals. The family, friends and fundraisers. United by a clear vision: a future free from arthritis. One in which no one is limited by the pain, fatigue and isolation that arthritis can cause.

Story

Hello!

My New Year resolution this year is to complete the Great North Swim, and not drown in the process (also aiming not to come last - but that may not come true!). Swimming a mile, in the cold choppy water of Windermere in the Lake District, is probably a bad decision on my part, but I'm determined to do it, especially for such a good cause. Arthritis Research UK is the leading charity looking into the cause, prevention and cure of all forms of arthritis, of which there are over 200. They are able to change a person's life for the better - dramatic but true.

So please, pretty please, dig deep and give whatever you can!
