Story

Fundraising for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation

My dad died from lung cancer aged just 47years old. I am raising money for The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation as it is a charity very close to my heart. Roy and dad were both Yorkshire men and were diagnosed with lung cancer in the same year. My dad died on 9th August 1994 and Roy died just a few weeks later. I am now a registered nurse and unfortunately see too many patients still being diagnosed with lung cancer. More money needs to be raised so that patients can receive the right treatment and support at the right time.

Anything you can contribute towards helping me achieve my target will be massively appreciated. This is my first marathon and I am committed to completing it in memory of my dad x

Thank you.
