I completed the Norwich Half Marathon 13 March - and what a relief to cross the finishing line.

My dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer four years ago. He knew the early signs so went immediately to see his GP who responded instantly and referred Dad to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead. It was a very tough year with major surgery. But thanks to awareness at the earliest stage my dad has come through brilliantly. I'm runnning a half marathon to help Beating Bowel Cancer alert everyone to the importance of going to the doctor the moment you're suspicious.
