Al & I have decided to raise money for the RAFBF and the St Clement Danes 1941 Appeal. Both are charities with a great vision to support the RAF Family.

St Clement Danes Church Fund 1941 Appeal - emergency Steeple restoration - JustGiving

The Lap is a 47 mile Ultra Marathon around Lake Windermere. It takes place on mostly ungroomed trails and has 2,500m of ascent. The current race records are 8:08:09 for females and 6:59:28 for males. Fortunately, there are 24hrs to complete the route and I imagine we will be making use of every one of those hours. 

The Lap is Al's idea of a fun weekend. I'm not so sure... Hopefully, you will give generously and feel just a little bit sorry for me. My legs, after all, are significantly shorter than Al's so I'll be doing lots more steps than him.
