Story
Hi Everyone
As the most of you already know my little girl Leila was born with Down Syndrome. Leila has attended weekly therapies with Down's South London since she was 6 months old, now Leila is 3 years old. I have been amazingly proud and emotional at a times watching my little girl growing and develop to reach slowly her milestones. Now she walks, climbs, runs, she is attending dancing classes, she is an amazing Makaton signer and a very sociable child, all of this is also thanks to DSL.
DSL provides free early intervention therapies such as Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy and speech and language therapy to local children with Down's syndrome from 0-6 years .Unfortunately the charity has got short funding. We need the support from the whole community to keep this invaluable charity running for the benefits of our children.
This year I'm going to walk again 21 Km along the Thames to raise money for Down's South London. We will be walking on a special day in fact the 21st of March is the World Awareness Day of Down Syndrome....PERFECT DAY! 21 is the number for this year walk, the 21st of March for 21 km walk for the 21 Chromosome that determine the Syndrome.
