Story
Hiya family, friends
As many of you know, I've had a rough time, health-wise, in my 20s. Luckily, I’ve managed to stick around, thanks to the best medical care. I focused a lot of making memories the last decade, and also, sadly, met plenty of families who couldn't afford to holiday with their loved ones, or couldn't get away from the hospital even for a weekend.
So, to celebrate my ongoing recovery, I want to focus on giving back to charities that are helping families with seriously ill kids have a holiday. I’ll be running another Sydney half in September to raise money for the Eilidh Brown Memorial Fund, who are currently building a respite home for this reason.
While there’s no cure for what I have, there is the opportunity to manage the disease, and heading into my third decade (%#*!) I am feeling better every day. Running is still super hard because of my arthritis (fibro), but nothing good ever came from standing still.
The work of EBMF is a cause very close to my heart (as queen of holidays, probably even the closest). I would love so much if you could support me in supporting their little project that will have such a big impact.
Love always
C xo
