To kickstart the 5in5forfive challenge, I'll be running the first half marathon on to raise money for the Scottish Refugee Council (SRC)

I have been inspired to raise funds for the Scottish Refugee Council  through my good friend, Chris. 

Chris spent time volunteering at a refugee camp in Calais (with Refugee Community Kitchen and Refugee Info Bus) before returning to Scotland in 2018 where he soon began working for the SRC as their Media and Comms Officer. 

The SRC seeks to help new refugees with housing, health and education, support refugees facing homelessness and those who are seeking asylum, and more. 

Donations go towards this support in these areas as well as improving access to digital technology amongst refugee groups and other refugee community group projects and initiatives.
