On Saturday 4th September a group of cyclists from the Caterpillar Peterlee facility will be heading out to conquer the C2C (Sea to Sea) route, cycling the 135 miles from Whitehaven on the west cost of Cumbria over to Sunderland on the east coast, in a day! It’s normally recommended to complete the ride across 2 – 3 days in order to take in the beautiful scenery and also to allow for the significant amount of uphill cycling that is involved in crossing the Northern Lake district and the Pennines.
