Have two Triathlons left now before the season is over...Bala this Sunday (11th) and last Castle Series on the 25th at Hever Castle in Sussex. Last Olympic distance was hell on earth due to bike stage, conditions and getting my nutrition wrong! But a finish is a finish :-) Will update on Monday. Pray for warm weather :-)

One Triathlon Done... 3 to go! Thanks to all who have donated so far! You are all legends :-)
Dear All,
About 5 years ago, my young nephew was involved in an accident that left him fighting for his life and with a serious brain injury. During his first few weeks, we looked at what options were available to a disabled children with brain injuries to ensure that have a quality of life and giving all of the opportunities to stimulate them. At the time, I was amazed at how few centres there were providing these facilities. Luckily he has made a significant recovery and has only residual problems with his learning and motor skills.
But now, 5yrs later, and an off the cuff remark suggesting to my next door neighbour I was thinking of doing some triathlons for charity, she gave me the details of The SPACE Centre. I was blown away by not only what they did but also how good a charity they would be to raise funds for bearing in mind my personal link.
SPACE can cater for people with a wide range of disabilities including Cerebral Palsy, Profound Multiple Disabilities, Autism and brain injuries. The SPACE Centre provides a large soft-padded multi-sensory environment on two levels connected by stairs and a slide. It is an exciting area with specialist lighting and equipment. More details on there website: http://www.thespacecentre.org/SpaceCentral/about-space.html
So, starting on June 19th and over the next few months I will be competing in 3 Olympic Distance Triathlons (1.5k swim, 45k Bike and 10k Run) within the grounds of 3 UK Castles. The Castle Series Triathlons will see competitors swim in the castles lakes, bike around the surrrounding rural roads and run within the the grounds and gardens of Cholmondeley Castle (Cheshire), Castle Howard (Yorks) and Hever Castle (Kent).
The series also takes in the Chateau de Chantilly in France which, should we achieve my target of £1000 by the first of August I will also commit to competing in and endure some more pain but this time in a foreign country.
All I ask is for you to donate whatever you can afford and allow a great small charity to benefit from these funds. And in return you get to rejoice in knowing my pain whilst throwing myself around the UK and possible French Countryside.
I thank you all for your time and anything you can give,
Kind Regards
Andy
