Story
Three years ago, my awesome Mum died from an incurable and terminal type of brain tumour - a GBM 4 - just one year after my uncle (her brother) died of the same type of tumour.
Cancer gets plenty of coverage, but the majority are the better known cancers like breast, prostate and leukemia, so I decided to donate to Brain Tumour UK. They do all sorts to support people with brain tumours, as well as their carers, families and friends. They also do lots of research into brain tumours and treatments and even run two labs themselves.
I began training for the half-marathon last autumn, which was a tight schedule, but unfortunately I got flu, then an ear infection, then labrynthitis, then virus after virus after virus...
I ended up not having enough well time to train, but good old Edward soldiered on through the training without me, and is taking over the sponsorship money that I have raised.
