Wow. I never thought I would be setting up my own Just giving page and asking all my lovely friends and family to sponsor me to run The London Marathon. 

Participating in the London Marathon was never on my to do list. Going to watch, support and sponsor others, YES ...but actually running in it myself, NO! 

As those that know me well, know I have never been a runner or even a jogger for that matter.

So you may ask why am I doing this..... 
On the 10th of April 2017, I lost my beautiful Niece Caitlin Jayne Baker just sixteen years old to Meningitis after she had been seen three times by doctors and A&E to be sent home with a middle ear virus. Caitlin once told me she wished to run the London Marathon when she was old enough. I knew I had to challenge myself to complete this goal for Caitlin as she was denied this chance, cruelly taken far too young. 
During this journey I hope to raise vital funds for Meningitis Research Foundation whilst promoting awareness. If my actions can help save another and prevent the grief of losing a loved one to Meningitis I will have achieved what I have set out to.

Caitlin had another wish of travelling to Bali which would of been my preferred choice, but not sure many of you would sponsor me just to go on holiday!  Not much of a challenge as Im pretty good at holidays.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in advance for your donations and support. I’m going to smash this for you Caitlin no matter how many hours it takes, I will cross that finishing line even if I have to crawl over it!
