Story

My names Matt but I’m mostly known by the alias of “Cas”. I’m a 26 (27 end of Jan) year old Personal Trainer living in Essex and after coming across the ECWB page on Facebook advertising the chance to box in an event with the aim to raise money for a worthy cause I immediately wanted in.

I’m no Boxer but I fully admire the dedication, commitment and passion it takes for someone to even be classed as an Amateur. I practice the basics as a means of Cardio in my own training, incorporate elements of Boxing into the programmes of others under my guidance as a PT and participated in a similar event alongside UWCB in April 2016 which with the help of the amazing people around me managed to raise £123 for Cancer Research UK.

I also in 2015 ran the London West Tough Mudder and jumped from 15,000ft out of a plane for which I raised £200 that also went towards Cancer Research UK.

My Nan died of Cancer and it is something I know many have been affected by around the world but my Great Uncle who had Prostrate Cancer beat it and with continued support and donations to causes such as CRUK and the Ameilia-Mae Foundation more of our loved ones can beat these horrible deseases too.

The smallest contribution can make a huge difference.

About the charity

The Amelia-Mae foundation was set up when we lost Amelia-Mae to Neuroblastoma at aged 2. We, the volunteers of this charity, fight in Amelia's name to ensure no family goes unsupported throughout and beyond treatment. Please help us to sustain this support
