Cascade’s 1 million steps challenge, 30 April 2021
Now more than ever, we need your donations to help us support, advise and offer friendship services to older people in Northumberland, many of whom have found themselves cut off from loved ones, the activities they live for and day to day company.

Story

All of us have personally seen and felt the impact of Covid-19 on our own lives, and if we're truthful, we'll admit to feelings of fear, stress, concern even panic at times. But imagine a world were you can't see your family, you are unable to go to the shops or attend a weekly class that you enjoy. That's the situation for many older people across our county and this challenge is made even more difficult by the rural nature of Northumberland. The team at Age UK Northumberland is working hard to ensure that our vulnerable and in need are cared for both physically and personally with friendship and welfare calls, financial and welfare advice and personal support. We are working hard to help as many people as we can, but we need to do more. Whether you can give £1 or £1,000 your donation will help us make a difference to the life of an older person.
